Johnny Depp refuses to look his ex-wife in the eye in court, and here’s why.
During the last hearing in the trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, the prosecution touched on a topic that intrigued the public. Depp’s attorney argued that her client didn’t want to look his ex-wife in the eyes. Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez, also touched on this topic while she was questioning Heard, and the actress confirmed that he avoided eye contact each time.

The lawyer then claimed that Heard had looked at her ex-husband many times, to which Heard agreed. 'You know very well why Mr. Depp doesn't want to look you in the eye. Is it?' Vasquez then said, wanting the actress to answer in the affirmative.
After that, a recording made in a San Francisco hotel room was released in the courtroom, after Heard filed for divorce. The recording shows her trying to hug Depp, but when he refused, she begged him for a hug. After that, it is clear that Depp says that he will never look her in the eyes again. He asserted then that after the divorce they were foreigners and that there was no reason to look her in the eyes.
Depp also adhered to his decisions during the 2018 trial in London. However, the Heard legal team and its spokesperson have a completely different view. They state that Depp is unable to look at his ex-wife because of everything he has done to her.
'If Mr. Depp is truly innocent, why has he repeatedly apologized to Ms. Heard and promised to 'remove the monster forever,' ' the actress' spokesman told People earlier in May, adding that one of her disappointments was the actor's inability to distinguish facts from fiction.
Recall, Depp and Heard found themselves on opposing sides in court because the married actor allegedly beat his wife. After the divorce, she was given money to keep quiet about it, but she trampled on the word which is why Johnny Depp is now suing her for defamation. Amber Heard retaliated with a counter-suit after her ex-husband called her a liar. The actor is asking Amber for 50 million in damages, and she is asking him for as much as $ 100 million.
