DJI Mini 3 Pro: Lighter and more powerful
DJI has today officially revealed their newest camera drone, the DJI Mini 3 Pro, which is the direct successor to the DJI Mini 2. The first proven feature of this family is its weight, which remains below the lightweight of 250 grams, making these drones lawful to operate without the need to register.
Obviously, the new model has several advantages over its predecessor, with the capture quality being the most notable. And it's because this new drone has a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor that can capture photographs up to 48 megapixels and 4K footage at 60 frames per second. In comparison to the previous model's 12-megapixel captures and 30 fps films, this is a significant increase.
However, there are some extra enhancements, such as a minor battery extension that will boost the flight time per charge from 30 minutes to 34 minutes.
An adjustment that, while seemingly insignificant, offers a nearly 15% gain in autonomy, a major milestone within the ultralight frame of this drone.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro may also be upgraded with the Battery Plus accessory, which adds an extra charge that extends the flying time to 47 minutes, however, the weight has not yet been determined.
Last but not least, the DJI Mini 3 Pro has a longer transmission range, approaching 12 kilometers, as well as other software enhancements like the implementation of an integrated obstacle detection system called Tri-Directional Obstacle Sensing, which will allow us to ensure the drone's integrity with greater security.
