Do you remember 'Charmed'? After more than two decades, Alyssa Milano finally admitted: 'I feel guilty'

Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano spoke about her relationship with colleague Shannen Doherty after years of tensions between them. The audience had the opportunity to meet them some twenty years ago in the TV series "Charmed".

Alyssa, 48, admitted that although they initially disagreed, their relationship improved over the years.

"I would say that our relationship is cordial now. I take responsibility for much of the tension that has been going on between us. I think a lot of our conflicts have come about because I saw her as a competition, not a sister. I feel guilty about my role in all of this, " Milano told Entertainment Tonight.

When Shannen Doherty, 50, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, Alyssa contacted her. "When I heard about her diagnosis, I called her. And I texted her every few months just to check on her. I respect her. She's a great actress, who loves her family so much and I wish I had enough self-confidence to have realized it at the time we were filming together, ” the actress added.

The "Charmed" series had its premiere in 1998 and lasted for eight seasons. The lead roles were played by three Halliwell sisters who were powerful witches, Charmed ones, and were embodied by Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty, and Holly Marie Combs. They defended the innocent from the forces of evil.

Shannen left the series in 2001 due to disagreements with Alyssa, after three seasons, and her character was killed off.

"There was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for work. You know, I'm 30 and I don't have time for that kind of drama in my life. I want to work with actors who really, really care about their job and want to be on set every day. I don't want to work with people who constantly spit on their work and complain about it, hate it and the like, "Doherty said in a 2001 interview, adding that this does not apply to Holly Marie Combs.

Milano didn’t owe her anything, so in a 2013 interview, she stated the following: “Holly and Shannen were best friends for 10 years before the series started filming so I felt like I was in high school on set. I was hoping that when we reach our thirties we would not behave like that again. "
