Don't skip: Netflix' suggestions for December!

The Advent period is usually a bit hectic and full of activities. If you want to relax with movies and series on streaming platforms, Netflix has selected for you.

LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND, NETFLIX

Based on the novel by Rumaan Alam, the psychological thriller written by director and producer Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot) follows married couple Clay and Amanda Sandford and their children Rose and Archie, whose idyllic vacation on Long Island is interrupted by GH and Ruth Scott. They are two strangers who bring the news that they will be forced to share the luxury they are in with them. Despite the given explanation, their arrival in Amanda arouses suspicion and is a prelude to the coming cataclysm and the struggle for survival.

The roles of the main couple went to the Oscar winner and former favorite of America, Julia Roberts, and the actor Ethan Hawke ("Before Dawn", "Training Day", "The Northerner", "Growing Up"), who became famous for the role of one of the students of the inspirational professor John Keating ( Robin Williams ) in the movie "Society of Dead Poets".

Unexpected guests are embodied by Oscar winner Mahershala Ali ("Moonlight", "Green Book") and Myha'la, and the famous Kevin Bacon plays an important role.

THE FAMILY PLAN, APPLE TV+

Dan Morgan is a normal family man. But he used to be the most dangerous killer in the world. When his secret past catches up with him, Dan and his family embark on a journey to Las Vegas to face the adversary who wants to kill him. But how will he continue to hide his dark past from his wife and children? In Simon Cellan Jones' action comedy, the cast is led by Mark Wahlberg ("The Deceased", "The Boxer", "Ted") and Michelle Monaghan ("The Best of Me", "How to Steal the Bride", "Mission Impossible III", "Impossible mission: Ghost Protocol" and "Mission Impossible: System Breakdown").

This comedy is coming to Apple TV+ on December 15th.

HEADLINERS ONLY, NETFLIX

They started as stand-up comedians, and today they have many acting successes behind them. Chris Rock and Kevin Hart are among the most recognizable names on the American comedy scene. In the new Netflix documentary, famous comedians join forces to tell the story of their career beginnings and professional rise, giving an insight into their friendship as well. "This is the story of two journeys that end at the same crossroads," Hart announces. In addition to Rock and Hart, the documentary brings together other prominent comedians such as Bill Burr, Tiffany Haddish, Dave Chappell, and comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld, and shows old recordings of club performances of today's world-famous comedians. The documentary arrives on the platform on December 12.

AS THE CROW FLIES, NETFLIX

In the tense finale of the first season of this Turkish miniseries, the main anti-heroine came out on top. Through foul play and corrupt scheming, the young, frustrated, and mean Asli ( Miray Daner ) reached the star position that deservedly belonged to the host Lala Kiran ( Birce Akalay ). But can miserable Asli replace Lale? Can the great Lale Kiran stay within the new restrictions? The players of this game do not like the new positions at all. The final battle is ahead of them. You can watch the second season of the series from December 14.

MAESTRO, NETFLIX

After the notable success of his directorial debut and the third remake of the film "A Star Is Born", Bradley Cooper returns to the director's role in another music-themed film - a biographical drama focusing on the relationship between the legendary American conductor and composer of the twentieth century Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegra. In "A Star is Born", Cooper played the role of the main character in addition to the director's role, while his co-star was the British actress Carey Mulligan ("Pride and Prejudice", "The Great Gatsby", "Far from the Madding Crowd", The Girl which promises"). In addition to Cooper and Mulligan, the film stars Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, and Sarah Silverman. The film, which was produced by big names such as Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, premiered at the Venice Film Festival and on Netflix will be available from December 15.
