ED SHEERAN HAS RELEASED A NEW ALBUM!

Ed Sheeran’s music has changed drastically over the years. From slower ballads all the way to pure pop collaborations with names like Cardi B or Travis Scott. Four years have passed since his last album, and in the meantime, he got married, took a break from social media and music, and became the father of the girl Lyre Antarctica. In early summer, he surprised with the song Bad Habits, which quickly became a go-to choice of many radio frequencies, but certainly integrated more into his more commercial pop opus.

He, therefore, surprised fans with a new album that irresistibly recalls the beginnings of his music career.

The album called = (Equals) thematically continues the series of his albums marked with mathematical symbols. After the Divide era, which positioned him at the top of the mainstream charts, Ed turns to more personal songs, as he himself explained a few months ago.

"My life has changed a lot in the last four years - I got married, became a father, experienced a loss, I look back on all these topics through the album. I look at it as my coming-of-age album and I can't wait to share this new chapter with you. ”

The first song from the album, Visiting Hours, which the musician released yesterday, arrived at the end of August. Touching verses are dedicated to Michael Gudinski, an Australian music producer, Ed’s mentor, and friend who passed away in March this year.

Many of the songs from this album will remind fans of an earlier stage of his music career such as the songs Visiting Hours, Sandman, First Times, and The Joker and the Queen. On the other hand, the musician has not completely neglected the commercial pop overtone that has dominated the charts in recent years, and in many songs, he combines a rhythm that irresistibly takes us back to the eighties and nineties.
