Every housewife needs to know these rules
These are the unwritten rules that EVERY housewife must know: Here's what you can't do with minced meat
That is why it is important to make the most of it and avoid these mistakes.
1. Be careful when freezing
The packaging from the store is too thin to protect the meat from extremely low temperatures. Instead, place the meat in a thicker plastic bag and leave it in the freezer.
2. A microwave oven is not the solution
The microwave oven will start to cook the surface layer of minced meat and harden it before the mass is completely thawed. Do not do that, but defrost the meat in a natural way.
3. The temperature of the pan is crucial
You will achieve maximum taste and caramelization of the meat if you put the thawed meat in a hot pan to which you have added a tablespoon of oil or butter. Do not put it in a cold pan because it will stick to the bottom and get an inconspicuous gray color.
4. Drain excess water
Minced meat during stewing releases excess water that evaporates due to long-term heat treatment. You can drain this water during cooking, especially if you follow the recipe and worry about how much liquid you have to add to prepare a certain sauce or dish.
5. Do not rinse it before cooking
Rinsing the meat before cooking does not remove bacteria from its surface, while rinsing after heat treatment removes all taste.
