American singer Kelly Price has spoken out after she was declared missing after a recent hospitalization
American gospel singer Kelly Price told TMZ that doctors saved her life after she contracted coronavirus. She was recovering in the hospital.
"At one point they lost me. When I woke up, I saw doctors asking me if I knew what year it was," the singer said. When a reporter asked her what she meant by the statement "they lost me," Kelly replied, "I died."
She battled the coronavirus for a week before being hospitalized. Her temperature rose and she was breathing hard.
"I'm facing what doctors have called a long coronavirus. This is a tough battle. I have a lot of internal damage so rehabilitation will be long," Kelly said, explaining why she was not at the residence after leaving the hospital when police asked for her.
She fought for her life
Fans came to her property, rang the doorbell, and left things on the doorstep. So she went to a quieter place to recover.
"I left the house literally a week ago because I couldn't rest there. I totally switched off, I'm recovering," the singer admitted.
Her representatives said recently that Kelly was recovering, but the singer's sister Shanrae Price was suspicious.
"I don't believe anyone until I see her in person," Shanrae told the media. Shanrae added that her sister's husband allegedly denied her access to their home, and such suspicious behavior led her to warn authorities to check what was happening.
