Memorabilia of the most popular people on the planet reach astronomical prices. In addition to the usual things, such as guitars, vehicles, or clothes, passionate fans buy locks of hair and even the teeth of their favorite stars.
A piece of cake from the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer from 1981 was sold last Wednesday at a British auction for 1,850 pounds, with a warning - do not eat it. The starting price of a 40-year-old piece of cake with marzipan and white icing, adorned with the royal coat of arms, was £300 to £500, but it sold for more than three times the price. One of the most bizarre things ever sold at auction is certainly the tooth of musician John Lennon. The tooth was bought by Canadian dentist Michelle Zack for more than $30,000.
A black acrylic nail, decorated with gold ornaments, which Lady Gaga dropped during a concert in Dublin, sold for as much as 12,000 dollars.
One of the most expensive items sold by celebrities is the famous white dress by Marilyn Monroe, which caught that all-important breeze from the ventilation opening of the subway in the cult film "The Seven Year Itch". An anonymous buyer set aside a staggering $4.6 million for it.
Mick Jagger's ex-girlfriend, model Chrissy Shrimpton, sold his lock of hair for $6,000, and the money was collected for the Changing Faces charity, which works with people who have suffered facial disfigurements.

Justin Timberlake’s half-eaten French toast was bought at auction for just over a thousand dollars by a big fan of the group NSYNC in which he sang.
At the auction in New York in 2012, the necklace "La Peregrina" made of pearls, rubies, and diamonds from the 16th century, which the late Elizabeth Taylor received as a gift from her ex-husband Richard Barton, was sold for 11 million dollars. Barton bought the necklace in 1969, and it was once owned by Queen Mary of England, then King Philip II of Spain, after which it belonged to his daughters Elizabeth and Margaret.
