Fans are delighted with Netflix's series: " The Railway Men"

The new Netflix series "The Railway Men -The Untold Story Of Bhopal" 1984 delighted fans worldwide and quickly became a hit. The series is based on the shocking story of the tragedy in Bhopal when a deadly gas leak started in a factory.

This tragedy killed 70 times more people than Chernobyl and is considered the deadliest industrial accident in the world. Recall that in Chernobyl the only known, causal deaths from the accident involved workers in the plant and firefighters. The reactor explosion killed two engineers and severely burned two others who were among the 237 workers hospitalized in the immediate aftermath. Of the hospitalized workers, 134 exhibited symptoms of acute radiation syndrome, including one disputed case.

This story follows brave railroad workers who risked their own lives to help others after a deadly gas leaked into the city, saving them from an unimaginable disaster.

After watching the series, fans flocked to X to voice their opinions. Many wrote that the series left a strong impression on them, and some compared it to the 2019 hit series Chernobyl.

"The Railway Men's Story on Netflix. What a chilling and powerful series. A must-watch for everyone," wrote one person, while another added: "The Railway Men - The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984 is simply... bone chilling!"

What does the criticism say?

"While the show occasionally feels overstuffed with characters, its storytelling heart remains faithful to honoring the men who saved thousands in Bhopal in 1984," wrote Radhika Menon.

"Those who enjoyed Chernobyl – although 'enjoyed' may not be the right word - will enjoy the mini-series, which operates on a similar level, realistically and sensitively recreating a tragedy that still serves as a cautionary but inspirational story today," wrote Jonathon Wilson of Ready Steady Cuta.
