Filming of the FX's series "Alien" will begin next year!

Even the birds on the branch already know that FX is working on a series set in the Alien universe. What you may not know is that the scripts for the series are completed, as information was announced by John Landgraf, director of FX. Landgraf also revealed that the filming of the series will begin in 2023, which is admittedly a bit strange because the arrival of the series on small screens (Hulu) was also expected next year. The creator and screenwriter of the new series is Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), while the producers are Ridley Scott and James Cameron.
Landgraf announced that the series will offer its own original spin. It will be departed from the previously established infamous Weylan-Yutani corporation and instead, it will focus on a new shadowy corporation. But despite this, Landgraf promises that the series will return to the roots of the franchise.
Unlike Weyland-Yutani's fully robotic synthetics that function using an artificial intelligence algorithm, Prodigy Corporation's focus is rather on assimilating human consciousness into synthetic bodies. Both companies are competing for the next best revolutionary technology. This means that Weylan-Yutani won't be completely cut out of the story, but he won't be the main backbone of the plot anymore.

“I'm a big fan of Aliens and I remember seeing them in the cinema and each of them was shockingly original and surprising in its own way. And so, similar to his approach to Fargo, Noah decided not to take Ripley or any character from Alien — except the xenomorph himself — but to go back and figure out what made the franchise so great and so enduring in the first place. He wanted to see if he could find the experience which would give a feeling reminiscent of going to the cinema and watching one of those first two films. That's all I can say at this point.” - said Landgraf recently to foreign media.
“ Alien series takes place before Ripley. It is the first story in the Alien franchise. It is happening on our planet, towards the end of this century in which we are currently, for about 70 years from now. All I can tell you is that Ripley won't be a part of it, and neither will the other characters – except the Alien himself. But we have prepared some big surprises for the viewers." - said Landgraf back in February of this year.
