Former Superman on new bisexual character: ‘They're bandwagoning. That would have been brave 20 years ago '

Dean Cain 55, who played Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: New Adventures of Superman’, honestly commented on the new version of the comic book superhero in which he is bisexual.

- They said it's a bold new direction. I say they're bandwagoning - Cain said honestly during a guest appearance on Fox & Friends.

He said that is not surprising nowadays.

- The fact that Superman is now bisexual is not a brave or daring move. If they had done it 20 years ago, maybe it would have been brave - he added.

Although this news surprised many, he sees no reason for it.

- It would be brave if he was fighting for the rights of women to attend school and work and live and boys not to be raped by men under the new warm and fuzzy Taliban.

- There's real evil in this world today, real corruption and government overreach," he continued. "It'd be great to tackle those issues. I'd like to see the character doing that, the actor added.

Recall, Jon Kent, son of Clark Kent's Superman, in the new edition of the comic 'Superman - Son of Kal-El' will be bisexual. He was won over by the charm of journalist Jay Nakamura, so just like his dad fell in love with journalist Lois Lane. The new Superman is thus attracted to both women and men.
