How to deal with frizzy hair after wearing a cap

A hat on cold days is a must and there is no doubt about it. Unfortunately, wearing hats spoils our hairstyles. After removal, the hair is sometimes tousled, and what is worst, it is very electrified. But there is also good news. This phenomenon can be prevented or significantly reduced

Trying to tame your hair with a brush or comb often makes the situation worse. Welcome to winter reality. However, there are many ways to reduce this tendency. Sometimes we blame ourselves and contribute everything to electricity. However, that is not always the case.

It is worth knowing that dry and damaged strands are more prone to static electricity. Improving their condition through proper care reduces this problem. Oils that create a protective layer on the surface of the hair will also help. One of the best hair oils to use is, of course, extra virgin coconut oil which you should put on your split ends and it will hydrate and rejuvenate your hair.

Brushes and combs can increase or decrease the electricity in the hair. If you get rid of plastic brushes in favor of those made of wood, you will quickly notice an improvement. And, of course, clean brushes and combs regularly.

Of great importance is the material from which our hats, scarves, sweaters, and bedding are made. They have close and long contact with the hair and can increase the appearance of static electricity. Natural fibers such as wool, cotton, satin, and silk definitely win here. However, avoid synthetics. And if you haven't done that before, start using fabric softener. Not only does it give them a nice scent and softness, but it also has an antistatic effect.

What you can also do, is start using anti-frizz hair products which will help you keep your hair under control, at least to some extent. Also, it won't be bad to even try hairspray or hair gel, but only if you're wearing your hair in a ponytail or some sort of braid or bun.
