Iron Maiden are announcing the new album Senjutsu with another single
"Stratego" is the second single with which the band Iron Maiden announces their 17th studio album Senjutsu that will be released on September 3.
The song "Stratego" is the work of guitarist Janick Gers and bassist Steve Harris, who is also a co-producer of the new album "Senjutsu". "Stratego" characterizes everything that the "sound" of the band means - simple but effective sections and memorable refrains.
Senjutsu was recorded at the Guillaume Tell Studio in the suburbs of western Paris and was produced by Kevin Shirley, who also produced "The Book of Souls".
“We recorded it during a break on the Legacy of the Beast tour,” the band’s frontman, Bruce Dickinson, told about the album. "That way we could make the most of our tour, and still have a lot of time until the release to prepare album and video covers. Of course, the pandemic has delayed things more - so much about the best plans - or should they be "strategies"?
"The songs are very diverse, and some are quite long. There are also one or two songs that sound quite different from our usual style, and I think Maiden fans will be surprised - I hope it's in a good way!” Dickinson added.
Senjutsu will be released on Sept. 3 via Warner Bros.
