Jussie Smollett's trial has begun!
The trial of the actor who was arrested for organizing a false attack on himself has begun. Osundairo brothers testified.
Jussie Smollett is an American actor and singer. He began his career as a child actor in 1991, acting in films such as The Mighty Ducks (1992) and Rob Reiner's North (1994).He has three brothers and two sisters.
The trial of American actor Jussie Smollett (36), who was arrested for organizing a false racist attack on him in order to gain publicity and encourage career development, has begun in Chicago. Namely, Smollett is accused of falsely reporting to the police that in 2019 two masked men attacked and insulted him because of his race and sexual orientation. He claimed that they tied a noose around his neck and sprinkled him with an unknown chemical. The actor pleads not guilty and the court charges him with six counts of a misdemeanor.
His testimony is focused on his relationship with the Osundairo brothers who were detained on suspicion of assault. One of the brothers, Olabinja, was accused by the actor of homophobia, and he denied it. "It simply came to my notice then. Every time we were in the company, he did not want to talk to me, "he described his relationship with Olabinja.
Another brother, Abimbola, told the court that Smollett asked him to beat him enough to have visible injuries, but that these were not serious injuries. Let’s add that they were friends, and the actor claimed he was also in a love affair with Abimbola. He denied this and said that he did not know that he was attractive to the actor.
According to police, the Osundairo brothers admitted that Smollett paid them to stage the attack because he was not satisfied with the amount of his salary. Local media found surveillance camera footage of the brothers buying items that they used in the fraud. The actor allegedly sent a threatening letter to himself. Let's add that after this scandal, Smollett was kicked out of the cast from the 'Empire ' era for which he is best known.
