Justin Timberlake supports his ex: "I'm sending Britney my love, regardless of the past"
"I want to have the opportunity to get married and have another child, but conservatorship prevents me from doing so" - the pop princess revealed.
Britney Spears, 39, told the judge responsible for overseeing her controversial custody on Wednesday that she wanted her life back and that the 13-year custody of her father over her was over.
After Britney's interrogation, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, with whom she was in the early 2000s, also spoke out on this issue. Namely, he wrote on Twitter:
"After what we saw today, we should all support Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago ... What is happening to her now is simply not right. No woman should ever be restricted in making decisions about her body" - he began.
"No one should ever be held against their will ... Nor should she ever ask for permission to access everything she worked so hard for"- he added.
"Jessica and I are sending our love and absolute support to Britney at this time. We hope that the court and her family will correct that and let her live the way she wants" - Justin concluded.
Namely, Britney begged the judge to end the custody, which has been going on for a very long time.
"I really believe that this custody is real violence," she said in her 25-minute speech.
"I want to have the opportunity to get married and have another child, but custody prevents me from doing so. I feel trapped, harassed, and lonely" - said the singer.
Spears added that she has built-in contraception and can't remove it "because they do not want to have children."
"I'm not here to be someone's slave," she added.
"I'm traumatized. I am not happy. I can't sleep" - she said.
"I'm so angry and I cry every day," she added.
Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge Brenda Penny said she needs a formal petition submitted to the court seeking termination of the custody before she can take any action.
Penny praised Spears for speaking.
"I know it took a lot of courage," Penny said, then continued.
" I want to praise you again for really stepping out and standing out so that we could hear your thoughts, not only me but also everyone who participated in this case" - she added.
The singer's father Jamie Spears issued an official statement after the shocking hearing of the popular singer. Jamie pointed out how much he loves his daughter.
"He is sorry to see that she suffers so much and is in so much pain. Mr. Spears loves his daughter very much" - it is written in the statement published by his lawyers.
The singer's father allegedly sold the house where Britney grew up and currently lives in a van, and it is there that she keeps memories from her rich career.
He has had control over Britney and her fortune for the last 13 years, which is estimated at 60 million dollars, while he gives her 2000 dollars a week.
