Kate Hudson on the great trauma she never overcame: I don't know what I would do if I didn't have children!
She believes that she is a better person because of her children, regardless of the fact that sometimes she struggles to balance private and professional life.
According to her own words, Kate Hudson felt like she never had a father. Musician Bill Hudson did not participate much in her upbringing. Her mother Goldie Hawn raised her with her long-term partner Kurt Russell, and she often publicly mentioned her relationship with her father as a "problem of forty years." Therefore, when she was asked about who helped her "to reconcile with her demons" when it comes to family and parenthood, she explained how grateful she was to have her heirs, media report.
"I'm a better person because of them. They make me feel like that, even though they test my inner demons almost every day. But, my family is my salvation, after everything I have been through in my life. I have both feet on the ground only thanks to them" - claims Kate, who often posts photos with her family on social media.
"I had some problems because of how I grew up. But that, it seems, only prepared me for the future and I am doing well. I also had some traumas that I never overcame, but I learned to deal with them. I didn't even recognize them before, but later everything changed for the better. To meet a younger self, I would tell that girl that it was perfectly okay for her to feel how (she) felt, because it was both sad and difficult. And then I would stress to her that she is actually fine and that she will still be. Maybe in certain situations, I would be kinder, milder… I would allow myself to hug myself, if you get me" - she explained.
