Kid spends almost $3,000 on SpongeBob popsicles!
Going on a shopping spree is awesome, however, one little New Yorker went a little overboard!
We can imagine the shock and the surprise Noah Bryant’s family experienced recently when they found out that they had $2,618.85 less on their bank account! What happened was that little Noah took the chance (and his mom’s Amazon account) and ordered 918 SpongeBob SquarePants popsicles and got them shipped to his aunt’s house.
Even though Noah didn’t do anything wrong, most even find it funny even, however since the popsicles were not refundable his mom was left with almost $3,000 less. Luckily, she has good friends and one of them decided to launch a GoFundMe campaign to help her pay off the SpongeBob shopping spree!
The campaign went live on Monday and the said friend – Katie Schloss mentioned that Noah’s mom has 2 more kids and in addition she is also a student of NYU, studying social work and she really couldn’t afford little Noah’s splurge.
Finally, the family lived through another shock when the aforementioned campaign almost tripled its goal and received over $7,000 in donations!
Bryant’s mom was delighted and she expressed her thanks in a statement that said:
“Thank you SO much for your mind-blowing generosity and support. As a child living with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), all future donations will go towards Noah’s education and additional supports. We cannot thank you enough. Truly.”
