As the actress said during a recent guest appearance on a television show, she recently collaborated with Duchovny on the filming of "The Bubble", directed by her husband Judd Apatow, and starring her younger daughter Iris. However, her acquaintance with David began long before the filming of this realization.
“He's so cute. I met him 27 years ago while we were working in Vancouver. It was my first job, a series called ‘Birdland’. He filmed ‘The X-Files’” - said the actress. She also revealed that everything was moving toward David and she becoming a couple.
"I thought, 'He really likes me. Maybe we'll be in a relationship or something,'" Leslie recalled.
“He invited me to the set, and I invited him to the Halloween party that I organized in my hotel room. After the party, we decided to go to the bar for a drink. My best friend, David, and I got into a taxi and he suddenly stopped it, got out of the car, ran away, and did not address me for 27 years” - the actress said. She pointed out that she had been digging for decades, which is why it all ended that way.
“For 27 years, my friend and I re-examined everything. Where did it go wrong? What happened?” Leslie admits. – “That's why, as soon as we met on the set of " The Bubble", I thought "Shit, this is going to be weird". I mustered the courage to ask him what had happened. "Why did you get out of the cab?" I asked, and he said, "Oh, yes, yes, yes ... I remember it. I don't know. I probably just forgot marijuana in the room or something." Well, it wasn't personal. He just needed marijuana.”
Later, at an audition for "The Cable Guy", Leslie met director, producer, and screenwriter Jude Apatow, whom she married in 1997. The couple has two daughters - Maude and Iris, and today their marriage is considered one of the most stable in Hollywood.
