Logitech MX Mechanical: Gaming and Productivity

Expanding its well-known MX peripherals brand, Logitech surprises us this time with the arrival of the Logitech MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini, two compact size keyboards without frames, with a sober aesthetic and colors focused on grayscale, which hide some characteristics of the gaming world, such as high-quality mechanical switches.

The main differences between the two keyboards will be in their sizes, with the second model opting for the 75 percent TKL format, reducing not only the number pad but also the rest of the keys such as page up and down, Delete, Start or End, to organize them around the directional arrows in a very practical and functional way.

As a result, both keyboards will come with three different sets of Cherry MX mechanical switches with a travel of 19 millimeters, allowing you to pick between brown switches with a "Tactile" feeling, blue switches with a "Clicky" sound, or reed switches with a "Clicky" sound.

Activation that is linear. In fact, Logitech has improved to the point where it is essentially the same switches as its gaming keyboards, but with some minor tweaks to somewhat regulate some critical factors such as loudness or brightness to better adapt to office surroundings and work from home.

The Logitech MX Mechanical, in particular, replaces all RGB illumination with a unique white backlight for each key, ensuring a more beautiful design without sacrificing functioning in low-light conditions.

Although it appears that these keyboards will have the already known wireless connectivity via Bluetooth or the Logi Bolt adapter, which will allow us to connect several devices through a single USB dongle, Logitech has not specified whether these keyboards will be compatible with Logitech Flow technology, a software that allows the same peripheral to be used on multiple devices by alternating the two connectivity modes.

However, it appears that we will not have to wait long to learn the complete specifications of these keyboards, as the business has already assigned them an introductory price that ranges from $159 for the tiny model to $179 for the Logitech MX Mechanical. As a result, the company is anticipated to make both keyboards available for purchase on its official website in the coming days.
