Many remember Kim Wilde's alien encounter!
British singer Kim Wilde is one of the most successful of all time, and recently she has moved away from music and dedicated all her time to her garden.
British singer Kim Wilde achieved worldwide success after she covered the Supremes song 'You Keep Me Hangin' On' in 1986, with which she absolutely conquered the American charts.
She started her career five years earlier when as a 21-year-old she released her debut single ‘Kids in America’ which reached number two on the UK charts. This British woman has sold millions of singles, most of which are due to her father, rocker Marty and brother Ricky.
This blonde beauty still holds the record as the most popular British solo performer of the 80s with 17 top 40 singles, but nonetheless, she has made the most of gardening in recent years. She hosted gardening shows on the BBC and Channel 4, and in 2005 won a gold award for her garden at the Chelsea Royal Horticultural Society flower show.
‘My career started in a spectacular way, with a great song written by my father and my brother Ricky -‘ Kids In America ’. The family has always been wonderful to me. Whatever I was going through I had their support. It’s not easy being the daughter of a famous father, but growing up with him I had the opportunity to realize that making music is a job like any other and to stay firmly on the ground. I wouldn't have succeeded without him. When I look at my father, I don’t think I go beyond music. It just doesn't want to leave us alone, ' Kim once said.
And a few years ago, the musician shocked the world when she stated that she experienced a close encounter with aliens. ‘The day after Michael Jackson passed away, a friend and I watched from my garden as spaceships sailed the skies for ten minutes. It helped me realize that we are not alone and that our souls are immortal and deeply connected to the universe. That experience changed my life, ' said Kim.
He says that the next day the whole place was buzzing about the mysterious visit of the aliens, and the news reached the newspapers. ‘I feel like I’m eternal, that’s the only thing I’m sure of. I know that after my death, my husband and I will meet somewhere in space and hold hands, ' the singer added.
She has been married to actor Hal Fowler since 1996, and together they have two children - 21-year-old Rose and 23-year-old Harry.
