Mark Wahlberg is not allowed to come to his children's games: "At first I was offended, but I respect their decision"

Actor Mark Wahlberg (50), who has four children with his wife Rhea Durham (43), recently revealed how fame affects his fatherhood, writes "Entertainment Tonight".

He said that he is doing his best so that his children Eli (17), Michael (15), Brendan (12), and Grace (11) have a more normal life.

"There are good sides to being famous, and there are a lot of bad ones," Wahlberg began.

- My kids want to have their own identity, you understand? So, I can't get out of the car during basketball or football training. I have to sit in the car and watch - said the actor.

- At first, I was offended because I want to be with them and encourage them. But I also help them to feel comfortable in what they do and have their own selves - Wahlberg explained and admitted that it is still difficult for him.

Recall, Mark Wahlberg was the highest-paid actor in the world for years, and in 2020 he was ranked 3rd with 58 million dollars in earnings.

In front of him was only actor Dwayne Johnson better known as The Rock with 87.5 million dollars and Ryan Reynolds with 71.5 million dollars.
