Matt Damon Reveals Painful Truth: 'My Daughter Refuses to Watch My Movies'
Although he has secured the status of one of the biggest Hollywood stars of today, Matt Damon's daughter does not refrain from ridiculing his acting achievements.
The famous Oscar winner last weekend was a guest on the show 'Sunday Morning' on CBS, where he talked about whether younger fans connect him with the film 'Good Will Hunting' and how his 15-year-old daughter experiences his film achievements.
‘Younger people are less interested in my older films,’ Damon admits, adding that his daughter Isabella simply ‘refuses to watch’ them.
‘She doesn’t want to watch any of my films that I think are good. On one occasion she said to me, ‘Do you remember that movie of yours‘ The Wall ’?’ So I corrected her and said it was called ‘The Great Wall’ and she replied to me that there is nothing good in it ’, in the Oscar winner jokingly described his daughter's animosity towards his films.
Damon, who is also the father of 10-year-old daughter Stella, 12-year-old Gie, and 22-year-old Alexie, admitted that they, like Isabella, had similar reactions to his films, especially ‘ Good Will Hunting ’.
‘I tried to encourage them to watch‘ Good Will Hunting ’because it was written by Dad and their Uncle Ben, but to no avail,’ reveals Damon, adding that they were only interested in the film ‘Martian’ because their friends from school watched it.
In addition to ‘The Martian’, as he reveals, they watched his film ‘ Ford v Ferrari ’ because they came to its ceremonial premiere.
