Natalie Portman in the drama based on the true event: "May December"

Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore play the main characters in the movie "May December". The screenplay is written by Samy Burch, and the other roles include D.W. Moffett, Piper Curda, Elizabeth Yu, Gabriel Chung, Cory Michael Smith, and Lawrence Arancio.

What can we expect?

The plot of the film follows a married couple twenty years after their romance filled the tabloid columns. Gracie Atherton-Yu (Julianne Moore) and her husband Joe, who is twenty years younger, are visited by actress Elizabeth Berry (Natalie Portman).
Her character, an actress named Elizabeth Berry, tries, with the kind of determination generally reserved for dogged detectives, to find meaning in the woman she has recently been cast as on film. That woman is Gracie Atherton-Yoo. Now in her late 50s, Gracie's (Julianne Moore) life is simple. She is a housewife from the American South who earns for a living by baking cakes and arranging flowers. When Elizabeth meets Gracie at her home in Georgia, Gracie wonders what she can do to faithfully bring her into a movie about her life.
Namely, in 1993, 36-year-old Gracie 'had an affair' with Joe, the best friend of her then 13-year-old son. (Screenwriters Samy Burch and Alex Mechanik based her on the real-life Mary Kay Letourneau.) They were in love, Gracie insists, even after she was caught having sex with Joe in a pet store warehouse and sent to prison, they stayed together. Now Joe (played by Charles Melton) is 36 years old. They have twins and seem to be happily married.

Under the watchful eye of another person, the characters become aware of their problems and unresolved issues that bother them, as well as the difficulties in understanding their partners.
Although the action of the film is set in the year 2015, it seems as if it is happening in some past time. The film is both deliciously eccentric and more than a little 'dangerous'. But you will struggle to resist the lure of the magical work created by Haynes, Moore, and Portman.
