NEW: Lymphatic massage at your home!

Many people want a lymphatic massage just before an important event or before a vacation, so they may not have time to wait, but the good news is that we can start the lymphatic system quite easily ourselves. This system is made from nodes, veins, glands and organs filled with fluid, or lymph, and its main functions are cleaning toxins from the body and defending against external invaders. Unlike blood, lymph does not have a pump to move it, so its flow is easily slowed down. It is interesting that, along with the accumulation of toxins, the main cause of lymph stagnation and stagnation is stress. Stagnation of lymph can lead to fluid retention and swelling, weakening of immunity and loss of energy, chronic inflammation of the sinuses, eczema, and worsening of inflammatory conditions.

How to stimulate lymph at home

How does massage help? Lymphatic channels cover almost every square centimeter of our body and are very close to the skin, so it is not difficult to influence them by massaging. Light long movements are enough to stimulate the lymph. Strong pressure is unnecessary, actually harmful, because it does not stimulate lymph flow, but reduces it.

15 to 60 minutes of massage is recommended, preferably every day, right after waking up or before going to bed. The massage is facilitated by the use of oils, which, depending on the type, can provide additional help in purification, stimulation of circulation, and anti-inflammatory effect. About a quarter of a cup of oil is needed for the whole body. It is always massaged in the direction of the heart, for example, from the legs to the body or from the fingers to the shoulders. The arms and legs are massaged with long, light movements, and the joints with light circular movements.

From heel to head

Heat the oil to a comfortable temperature and start the massage with both hands from the feet. Go between all the toes, always in an upward direction, and move to the ankles, then to the feet. Stop at each joint and massage it with small circular movements. Continue gently upwards, paying particular attention to areas of large lymph nodes, such as the back of the knee. Use your fingertips and palms to work your way toward the back of your thighs and buttocks, where toxic waste likes to accumulate in fatty tissue. Plus, regular lymphatic massages can help reduce cellulite in that area. Massage one leg, then the other. When you reach the groin, which has many lymph nodes, massage both sides at once - outwards in the direction of the hips and over the abdomen.

Then massage the abdomen in clockwise circular motions. On the abdomen, follow the movement of the intestines; on the right side move your hands up, then on the left side down.
