Nicolas Cage decided he would never retire

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor explained that he is the happiest when he is preparing for the role.

"That can't happen," Nicolas Cage said on the subject of retirement.

To do what I do in cinema has been like a guardian angel for me, and I need it. I'm healthier when I'm working, I need a positive place to express my life experience, and filmmaking has given me that,” said the actor.

"So I'm never going to retire. Where are we now, 117 movies?" Cage laughingly added.

To people who say, "You work too much," Cage replies, "I like to work, that's healthy, I'm happy when I work, by the way, guys such as Bogart made hundreds of movies."

Cage's latest project is the movie "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," in which he plays a "very neurotic version of himself," but refuses to watch it, despite being told it's a "good movie." The movie releases in 2022.
