Official teaser for Hulu's Mike Tyson is out
Steven Rogers and Karin Gist are the main creators of this mini-series.
A new interesting biographical mini-series, called "Mike", is coming to the Hulu streaming service soon. The series deals with the career and life of Mike Tyson, one of the best boxers of all time. The main role is played by Trevante Rhodes, and other roles include Harvey Keitel, Russell Hornsby, Laura Harrier, and Li Eubanks.
The mini-series has eight episodes, which show the ups and downs of the best boxer, including his triumphs in the ring, problems with the law, a great return to the world of boxing, and all the controversies that followed him throughout his life. Steven Rogers and Karin Gist are the main creators of this mini-series, while the team that worked on the film "I, Tonya" is in charge of its production. This is another biographical story about a controversial person from the world of sports. ‘Mike’ arrives at Hulu on August 28th.
One of the most famous boxers in the history of this sport is also known as Iron Mike, and under the mental strength he managed to build behind him, there is a disturbing and painful story that he once shared. Famous boxer Mike Tyson has had a turbulent path, both in life and in his career. In his 55 years, he experienced many tragedies: his father left his mother, brother Rodney, sister Denise and him when he was a boy, and when he was 16 his mother passed away.
He got involved in bad company, and by the age of 13, he was arrested 38 times for petty offenses and theft. Then he had to decide in which direction his life would go and he chose sports, namely boxing. His career progressed, and his life took an unprecedented path, however, it was not always easy for him because in 2009 he lost his four-year-old daughter Exodus, who died during a game in the park. Five years ago, Mike told his painful life story in a Jeremy Sharp podcast, where he also talked about a trauma he had long hidden from everyone: he admitted to being a rape victim, which he experienced as a teenager.
