Penelope has revealed her unfulfilled wish!
Penelope Cruz has revealed her unfulfilled wish in which her husband Javier Bardem is also involved.
The famous 47-year-old Hollywood actress told that she would like her and her husband Javier Bardem to record a musical together. She was inspired by his last role in the film 'Being the Ricardos'.
‘I saw my husband sing and he did an amazing job. He thought the same thing after I recorded the musical 'Nine', when I didn't think I could sing, and Rob Marshall convinced me of that after a few tests, ' the actress recalled. She added that she has been dancing ballet for 18 years. “I’m a big fan of dance and music, it’s such a powerful art for me, even stronger than cinematography, and the musical genre is like a dream! I made only one and I hope that one day I can do it again " she said.
She and her husband are preparing to show their children 11-year-old Leo and 8-year-old Luna the film Dad Javier worked on last year, which is Disney's hit 'The Little Mermaid'.
"There's been a lot of music around us lately. As you know, preparations for this take a very long time. That’s why it would be great to make films that kids can see because I can’t show them the film ‘Parallel Mothers’ yet, ” Penelope said.
The actor doesn't fail to praise his wife, and note that she is comparable to the character of Maria Elena, whom she embodied within the romantic drama “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.
“She has that fiery temperament! We have moments when we argue, and she throws plates at me. At some point, I wondered if I needed that. But she’s so passionate, that’s why I love her, that’s why she attracted me from the beginning. She’s not a pretty woman, she’s the sexiest woman on the planet, ”Javier said.
By the way, the actress recently won the second prize for the best actress for her role in that film, which was shot last year. On it, she collaborated with director Pedro Almodóvar, to whom she became a muse, as this is the eighth achievement in which Penelope has a major role.
Recall, Penelope said she started applying meditation to get rid of the role after making a film, and as she says, it helps her in everyday life as well.
“I took transcendental meditation classes and decided to dedicate myself to it,” Penelope said.
Penelope, as she says, is dedicated to her career, but before everything to children.
"Even my mother Encarna constantly tells me to take more time for myself, even though she was a selfless mother to me and my brother and sister. And now she tells me that I need to rest, relax and have more time for myself " she said in an interview with an Italian newspaper.
Penelope, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2008 for her role in Woody Allen’s film ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, is celebrating 30 years of her career.
"I have to pinch myself every time I say that because I still don’t believe that the dream I dreamed of since my earliest childhood has come true, and that is to be an actress. And that dream hasn’t bothered me yet, because with each new role I start from the beginning" she explains.
