Physically active every day!
Even if you don't have time to exercise regularly, a few minutes of physical activity each day will mean many benefits.
One week has 10,080 minutes, and only a small part of that time, 150 minutes a week, can protect adults, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), from chronic diseases and premature death if they use them for physical activities! Yes, believe it or not.
It takes so little!
Extensive research has shown how strongly movement affects our lives. More than 1.3 million respondents in the WHO study, who used those 150 minutes for sports activities, reduced those risks by an incredible ten percent! If, on the other hand, the respondents were honestly sweating, they profited twice. The risk of premature death fell by 22 percent.
Five hours of light activity a week is the dose recommended by the WHO for great positive health effects - the risk of premature death is reduced by 19 percent! And if those five hours involve more intense training, the risk is reduced by 39 percent.
There is no age limit!
A man can train while he is alive, experts say. So there is no excuse and no age limit. We live a stressful life and many are convinced that they do not have time for their own health. That is not correct! Everyone has a few moments a day that they can spend on themselves! Then we should not miss the opportunity to move. We can go to college or work on foot, by bike, climb to the sixth floor instead of taking the elevator and things like that. Any movement is better than none!
Recall, the researchers concluded that running increases blood flow to different parts of the prefrontal cortex, which plays an important role in controlling mood and executive functions. It also increases blood circulation, which can also favor brain activity.
For the study, they selected volunteers who ran on the treadmill for 10 minutes. They concluded that running resulted in a significantly increased level of excitement and enjoyment compared to the resting control group.
'According to our knowledge, running with moderate intensity has a beneficial effect on positive mood and improving brain function ' the authors said.
So, there is no excuse: if you don’t do something for your own health, no one else will do it for you!
