QUEEN ELIZABETH MEETS GRANDDAUGHTER LILIBET: Here is how their meeting went!

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became the parents of little Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on Friday, June 4.

They could hardly wait to get to their home for little Archie to meet his sister, but also to introduce her to the royal family, especially Queen Elizabeth.

Sources close to the royal family and young parents told People magazine that the queen met the namesake in a video call. "They were excited and could hardly wait to share the news of the birth of another baby," insiders say.

The public was surprised by the fact that the couple hid the news of the birth for two days, which, among other things, violates the customs of the royal family.

Also, the news about Elizabeth's acquaintance with her 11th great-granddaughter comes after rumors that the queen is not happy about choosing a name for Harry and Meghan's child.

According to a statement issued by the couple, Lili is named after both her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth and her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

"Lili was named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen as part of her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales."

By the way, Lilibet is a very private nickname of the English queen, which was used only by the closest members of the family. That is how her father, King George, called her when she was a little girl, because she could not say her name nicely, and then Prince Philip called her that until his death.

Many have interpreted the Queen's naming process as an attempt by Harry and Megan to settle things with the royal family after the scandal with the couple's recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, as well as the fact that they moved to America.
