Sarah Harding passed away of breast cancer at the age of 39
"Don't let the pandemic be an excuse for you like it was for me. Don't delay going to the hospital. It's too late for me now," she warned.
Sarah Harding has died of breast cancer, British media report. She was 39 years old.
"With a broken heart today, I pass on the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away. Many of you know about her battle with cancer and that she fought so hard from diagnosis until the last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning. I want to thank everyone for their support over the past year. To Sara, it meant everything and gave her great strength and comfort. She knew she was loved. I know she wouldn’t want to be remembered for fighting this terrible disease - she was a great star and I hope you will remember her that way, ”her mother Marie wrote on Instagram.
The former member of the band Girls Aloud, shared that she suffers from breast cancer in 2020.
"There's no easy way to tell you this. I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and a few weeks ago I received the terrible news that it had begun to spread to other parts of my body. I'm currently going on chemotherapy and fighting as hard as I can. I understand it's shocking to read something like this on social media, but last week there was news that I was seen in the hospital, so I think it’s time for people to find out what’s going on, ”she wrote at the time.
In her memoirs, Hear Me Out described some of the most difficult moments during the fight against this malignant disease.
"The doctor told me a few months ago that my upcoming Christmas would probably be my last. I don't want to know such a prognosis at all, I don't know why anyone would want that," she shared, adding that she was delaying going to the doctor because of the pandemic.
"Don't let the pandemic be an excuse for you like it was for me. Don't delay going to the hospital. It's too late for me now," she warned.
Sarah sang in the band Girls Aloud from 2002 to 2013. Fans and colleagues are saying goodbye on social media.
