Actress Shannen Doherty posted a photo without makeup on Instagram and reminded all women of an important thing that we unfairly put in the background. Her followers are delighted with the way she commented that while watching the movies, she noticed that there are fewer and fewer natural girls.
- Watching movies tonight, I noticed that there are few female characters I could connect with. You know, women without fillers, without Botox, without facelifts. Women who have accepted their face and the experience it shows - Doherty began in the description of the post on Instagram.
During the difficult health problems she has been struggling with for a long time, she realized that we are much more than what we see at first glance, and she learned to accept herself as she is.
- I survived a lot. Yes, cancer, but more than that. I accept myself now. Finally. It's over with the perception of beauty that Hollywood and magazines push and try to draw us into it. I want to see women like me. Women like us - she concluded.
It would be good if all women learned to love themselves without the need to change because self-confidence and satisfaction come from within, so there is not necessarily a need to change something from the outside to feel it. Shannon explained that point very well and thus held an important life lesson for everyone and reminded them of what is really important.
The actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago, and two years later she announced that she was in remission. However, in February 2020, she discovered how her cancer had returned and progressed to the fourth stage.
