The case of O.J. Namely, Simpson ended up behind bars after the robbery in Las Vegas and was sentenced to 33 years in prison. However, in 2013, he was released. While he was imprisoned, he allegedly developed a sick obsession with Kim Kardashian, a reality star and the daughter of his late friend Robert. It was written that he had photos of her pasted on the walls of the cell, and when she married rapper Kanye West, he said: “As long as I'm in prison, we can't be together, so Kanye can have her for now. But as soon as I get out, she is mine.”

He allegedly said on one occasion that he considers his African-American origin an advantage over numerous competitors. “Kim loves black football players, and I am in the Hall of Fame” - he said and added that he still has the Heisman Trophy, a recognition that Kim's ex-boyfriend and NFL player Reggie Bush returned in 2005.

Since he was released from prison, Simpson has tried not to attract too much attention and not much is known about his life, so it is not known whether he tried to contact her after his release.
