Sinéad O’Connor is retiring from the music scene !
Sinéad O'Connor has decided to stop making music. On Twitter, she informed the public that she was leaving the music scene and that she would no longer have public appearances and create new music. In an announcement for Billboard, she stated that her feeling tired was the reason behind it.
"I'm getting old, it's time to leave the job during which I gave my best. "NVDA" will be the last thing I publish, after that, I have no intention of recording music and performing. All concerts scheduled for 2021 and 2022 will be canceled," O'Connor announced.
She said that she does not consider her not making music any more sad news:
Apologies if any upset caused to booking agents or promoters or managers due to my tweeting about my retirement. I guess the book made me realise I'm my own boss. "Every wise fighter knows when to stop. My journey took forty years, I have released ten albums. It's time to focus on other desires and dreams. "
She apologized to the organizers of the concert, which she canceled, and stated that after the publication of her book "Rememberings", she realized that she wanted to have control over her life.
"I didn't want to wait for someone's approval, and I drank a few whiskeys before that," was the comment about her retirement.
