Teri Hatcher had a sperm donor in her 40s!

The 'Desperate Housewives' actress opened up about the emotional experience during a guest-hosting appearance on  Daily Pop News with Justin Sylvester and Loni Love. The trio was discussing Ginnifer Goodwin's offer to give her friend a sperm sample from her husband, Jose Dallas when Hatcher broached the subject. Teri has 57 years and she spoke about it now.

When Lone, 50, suggested to her friend that she "just get a sperm donor," Teri instant replied, "I did that. It didn't work for me." They were shocked because they did not expect that answer from Teri.

Hatcher continued: “I tried to have a second child on my own and went through it, got a sperm donor. I actually had a miscarriage, unfortunately. I mean, who knew I was going to tell that story today, but I just did. Anyway, it can be done, you can do it that way.”

The Golden Globe winner - who shares daughter Emerson, 24, with ex-husband Jon Tenney said that actually, it was "kind of fun" to choose the donor for the baby she wanted at the time.

“Because you literally choose, 'Do they wear glasses? Did they have acne? How high are they?'” she explained. "It's very interesting when you think about it in that way."

When it comes to Goodwin, 43, and her friend's pregnancy journey, Hatcher said, "It's a very generous and loving thing to want to help your friend, but it's a very complicated situation."

The Spy Kids actress was married to Marcus Leithold from 1988 to 1989. She moved in with Tenney, and the couple married in 1994. After nearly a decade of marriage, they separated in 2003.

Three years after her second divorce, Hatcher opened up about the sometimes harsh realities of dating, noting that she didn't feel "competitive" with her ex. Desperate Housewives co-stars said that is difficult to find love.

"Whether I find a boyfriend or don't find a boyfriend has nothing to do with other women finding a boyfriend," she said. Back in 2006. “I think there are enough pieces of the pie for all women. But yes, I would like to have a boyfriend. Sometimes you feel like the older you get, the more that window closes."

At the time, Teri revealed that she and her daughter had "talked" about the possibility of welcoming a sibling through adoption.

"She wants it to be a girl, and I think she would be a great big sister," Hatcher explained. “But the way I see it, one child would have one parent and the other would not. One child came and went from the father's house and one did not. I'm not saying it's impossible but I haven't completely given up on finding a partner.”
