The actress Rose McGowan calls out celebrities because of the abortion law: "You are morons"
Rose McGowan called her former colleague Alyssa Milano, with whom she starred in the series "Charmed", a "moron", because of her inactivity regarding the law in Texas.
The new law in Texas, which came into force on September 1, prevents women from having abortions if they are more than six weeks pregnant.
The law was met with criticism from many celebrities, including actress Alyssa Milano, Amy Rossum, Kelly Rowland, and Jamel Jamil.
However, Rose called out celebrities because they publicly commented on the law, but did nothing more to help before the law had come into force.
"This is really going to help for sure absolutely moron achievement unlocked," she wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of an article listing a number of celebrities who are helping raise awareness about the abortion issue.
Namely, Alyssa Milano condemned the law that came into force earlier this week on Twitter.
"The latest ban on abortion in Texas gives politicians, neighbors, and even foreigners the right to sue those who allow - or only help patients - abortion after 6 weeks," she wrote.
"Now is the time to fight for our reproductive health and rights!", The actress said.
Actress Jamel Jamil called for more support for women and asked, "Why don't the mainstream media cover what's happening in Texas tonight?"
