The Apple WWDC 2022 already has dates
Despite the fact that it is still a few months away, we now know that WWDC 2022, Apple's annual developer conference, will take place between Monday, June 6, and Friday, June 10.
And, despite the fact that we might already guess it, the technology business has announced that it will follow the completely online model that it has used in past years this year. And, with a few exceptions, it appears that many businesses believe it is still too early to recover face-to-face events.
As previously stated, the WWDC 2022 is a conference in which those from Cupertino provide information, sessions, and workshops to developers specialized in Apple products, so in the absence of confirming the official agenda of the event, we can assume many specialized sessions, focused on the most diverse details.
In other words, we're talking about stuff that isn't appealing to the majority of people.
However, we can anticipate a highly anticipated reveal at WWDC 2022. We referring, of course, to the next versions of macOS and iOS, which, like every year, will be officially presented in June, with a preview of what we can anticipate from them when they're released, which will be a few months later.
And, of course, it makes perfect sense that these new versions are given at this gathering year after year because developers are expected to be able to adapt their programs to these new capabilities as soon as they are released.
Thus, at WWDC 2022, we will see the face of iOS 16 and macOS 13, the successor to Monterey, for the first time. In the latter case, it is to be expected that more news will be focused solely on machines equipped with Apple SoCs, to the prejudice of people who still use computers based on Intel CPUs.
The differences with Monterey were modest, which Apple must acknowledge, but it stands to reason that the gap will widen in the version announced at WWDC 2022.
On the other hand, despite several failed forecasts in recent months, we continue to believe that 2022 will be a particularly productive year in terms of launching upgrades to existing items as well as new additions to the Apple catalog. As a result, it stands to reason that WWDC 2022 will be the preferred framework for the presentation of some of them.
Without a doubt, the most significant announcement during a WWDC in recent years occurred in 2020, when the company confirmed the many rumors about it from prior weeks and months by declaring that they were leaving Intel to join AppleSilicon.
Obviously, we cannot expect another announcement of this magnitude at WWDC 2022, but the announcement of the second generation of its SoCs, the projected Apple M2, which more and more analysts predict will debut on the market sometime in the second half of this year, could be plausible.
