The CEO of Tesla is highly critical of Twitter
Elon Musk, who is quite active on Twitter, was recently asked if he would consider creating a new social media site based on an open-source algorithm that prioritizes free speech over propaganda.
In answer to a question, Musk stated that he was seriously contemplating developing a new community platform. Tesla's CEO is harshly critical of Twitter and its recently implemented regulations, claiming that the firm is hurting democracy by failing to defend free expression. On the latter, he also held a vote.
If Musk does establish a new social platform, he will be one of a slew of tech titans who will position themselves as champions of free speech in order to lure disgruntled users away from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Donald Trump's Truth Social, Gettr, Parler, and Rumble are all attempting to do the same thing, but none have had as much success or garnered as much attention.
According to Elon Musk, nuclear power plants should not be shut down
In terms of power generation, Musk has once again termed Germany's intention to shut down its still-operational nuclear power facilities "total lunacy." According to him, the Germans should not only maintain their current nuclear power facilities operational but also decommission them, because nuclear energy is the path to sustainable energy.
According to Musk, solar energy will eventually provide all of our energy needs, but developing and building backup systems for energy storage will take a long time. Meanwhile, we must resort to nuclear power, according to Musk, in order to escape the challenges produced by the geopolitical crisis and the oil and gas market shock.
In the interview, Musk also stated that he wants to inhabit Mars in the future; however, he does not want to compete with his rivals in Silicon Valley by extending his life because he is not frightened of death; in fact, he welcomes it. In the meantime, he said, he'd like to live long enough to see his SpaceX ambitions come true.
Musk also stated on the subject that most breakthroughs and innovations are achieved by young people, so if everyone lived to be 100 years old, humanity's ingenuity would collapse, societal evolution would halt, and we would get stuck in old ideas and viewpoints.
