The first teaser for the series "House of the Dragon" is out: "Dreams did not make us kings. Dragons did"
HBO has released the official teaser for the long-announced "House of the Dragon" series. Eager fans say that this will be the best show of 2022, but others are not so convinced
"Dreams did not make us kings. Dragons did," says Prince Damon Targaryen in the one-minute teaser for the new HBO Max series "House of the Dragon", a prequel of the mega-popular "Game of Thrones".
This series is set in the time 200 years before the events of "Game of Thrones" and talks about the house of Targaryen and the civil war that became known in the fictional universe of George Martin as "Dance of the Dragons".
HBO has confirmed that the series will be released next year and that the first, and so far the only, season has ten episodes, writes the Guardian.

The trailer shows different characters that we will be able to watch in 2022, including Prince Damon, played by Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Olivia Cooke as Alice Hightower. The series is based on the book "Fire and Blood" by George RR Martin.
The writer previously revealed that as many as 17 dragons will appear in the series. Asked if he is excited when it comes to the new series that is being filmed based on his work, Martin says that he can't wait to see those mythological creatures.
"I always thought this was a cool story, which I like too, so I'm looking forward to it coming to life on screen. Of course, I'm looking forward to seeing the dragons! Obviously, I love them a lot. We had three in 'Game of Thrones', but there will now be 17. I hope that each of them will be presented differently and that you will be able to recognize them immediately when you see them because in books dragons have a personality, so it will be interesting to see that," Martin told Screen Rant.

Although this is one of the most anticipated shows of 2022, it seems that the majority of GOT fans are skeptical. They are not convinced that "House of the Dragon" can salvage the reputation of the George RR Martin-created fantasy thanks to the “travesty” of season eight of their favorite show.
"Am I going to watch this one all the way through just to be disappointed by the final season again?", one fan tweeted.
"Not getting into another decade-long emotionally abusive relationship with HBO and Game of Thrones. I’ll check it out after the series finale, maybe," another wrote.
There are, of course, those who still have high expectations for the series: "I can't wait for this show!", "Stop whining, you know you're gonna watch every second of this show!", are some of the reactions on Twitter.
