The first official trailer for the new horror film "Abigail" is out!

These days, the first official announcement for the new original horror film "Abigail" has arrived. This movie is been talked about constantly because the central theme is a child vampire.
One of the reasons to be impatient for this horror thriller is certainly the fact that it was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the duo behind modern horror hits such as "Ready or Not" and the new films from the "Scream"  franchise, "Scream 2022" and "Scream 6". "Abigail" is a completely new vision of the well-known horror film from 1936, "Dracula's Daughter".

What can we expect?

After a group of relatively clumsy criminals kidnaps a 12-year-old ballerina, the daughter of a powerful underworld businessman, all they need until they receive a $50 million ransom is to keep her safe overnight. Located on an isolated property, Abigail's captors begin to disappear one by one and realize that, to their horror, they have trapped themselves with a girl who is anything but – normal.

Alisha Weir is in the title role of Abigail, and we met her in the new screen adaptation of "Matilda", with Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Giancarlo Esposito. There was also Angus Cloud in one of his last roles before the tragic death in July 2023 at only 25 years old. The screenplay is written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick.

“Abigail” is produced by William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt on behalf of Project X Entertainment. Tripp Vinson also produces in addition to Chad Vilella of Radio Silence. We expect "Abigail" in theaters on April 19, and Universal has released the first poster along with the trailer, which tells us that children can be real monsters. As we said, "Abigail" will hit the big screen on April 19, 2024. Until then, you can view the spooky trailer and the film’s first dance-worthy teaser poster on social media.
