The first trailer for Interview With a Vampire is out

The AMC company released a trailer for the series "Interview with the Vampire", based on the famous Anne Rice novel, which was also made into a legendary movie with Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst. The premiere is scheduled for October 2.

Lestat and Louis, who were portrayed by Pitt and Cruise in the 1994 film, will be the main actors of the series, which will have eight episodes. The gothic horror novel by Anne Rice, who passed away last December, was originally published in 1976. The book was the first in a series of novels known as The Vampire Chronicles.

The "Interview with the Vampire" series is a modernized version of this story. Australian actor Sam Reid plays Lestat, "Game of Thrones" star Jacob Anderson takes over the role of Louis, while Bailey Bass portrays Claudia. In addition to "Interview with the Vampire," AMC is adapting another Anne Rice story, "The Mayfair Witches," from 1990. The main role of Rowan will be played by Alexandra Daddario.

Seven episodes of the first season of "Interview with the Vampire" will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on October 2, right after the premiere of the final episodes of "The Walking Dead".

Originally written as a short story, the novel "Interview with the Vampire" was published in 1976, and by 1993 it had been reprinted 48 times. "Interview with the Vampire" is a book that was created in order for writer Anne Rice to soothe the grief over her five-year-old daughter, who died of leukemia.

I immersed myself in writing and invented a story about vampires” - the writer said in 2014 for Independent.

As she explained at that moment, she was not aware that it was a way to deal with great pain, but later she realized that the entire process of writing, as well as the book itself, was connected with a great loss and the need to continue with life despite the fact that she was broken.
