The handsome Danish princes made it clear by their actions that the family could count on them

Recently, two brothers stood next to their grandmother, Queen Margaret II, who has been sitting on the Danish throne since 1972 and posed with a smile for the assembled photographers. This photograph is actually full of symbolism, in this prosperous monarchy in which the family must always and forever remain united, no matter what obstacles they encounter along the way.

And how important their family and country are to them, Princes Nikolai (21) and Felix (19) have never hidden and will, they claim, remain so in the future, although the roads will take them far from home.

Namely, 21-year-old Nikolai is moving to Paris this fall, where he will continue his education at the Paris Business School, after graduating from the Business School in Copenhagen.

Interestingly, he was originally scheduled to attend that semester in Hong Kong, where his mother, Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg, was born, but the coronavirus pandemic also disrupted their plans. And since the whole family was extremely fond of France, and both Nikolai and Felix often stayed in that country, Paris was a logical choice.

Namely, Nikolai spent most of his summer vacation at Calyx Castle in Lot, France, which was especially popular with his grandfather Henri de Laborde de Monpezat. In support of all this is the fact that his father, Prince Joachim, with his second wife, Princess Marie, and children, Prince Henry and Princess Athena, has been living in Paris since the summer of 2019, where he is defense attaché at the Danish embassy.

But not only Nikolai is waiting for a new life, but also his two-year-younger brother Felix, who finished the first part of his schooling before the summer.

‘I still clearly remember his hand in mine when I first took him to school 13 years ago. How time flies, because he is now a student ', praised Prince Joachim in June at the big celebration on the occasion of the completion of the first part of his schooling. At the time, Felix's parents, Prince Joachim and Countess Alexandra were standing together, although they had been divorced since 2005. Of course, such a thing could not have happened without his brother, who did not hide his pride that his younger brother would start his military education at the Slagelse Officer School this September.

By the way, this is a tradition that in principle is followed by all the sons of the Danish royal family, although Nikolai gave up his military education after only two months.

This is not really surprising, since Nikolai showed different affinities, which are related to fashion, all the time. Back in June 2018, Nikolai, thanks to his beautiful face and height of 184 centimeters, got his first fashion engagements and did his first fashion show for Dior Homme. How much he liked the leaders of that famous fashion house shows that he has been their favorite model ever since - he was the face of the 2019 campaign, and he did fashion shows for three years in a row, from 2019 to 2021. He also wore Burberry's models in London.

Today, he is a member of the Danish fashion agency Scoop Models and one of their most sought-after models, but he has long made it clear that this is not what he wants to do in his future.

‘I only see this as a current job that will help me in my future life,’ he told the Danish media, where he is often, especially because of his love life, particularly interesting to the younger population in Denmark, who do not hide their fascination with the handsome prince.

To their delight, after a three-year relationship with Benedict Thoustrup, whom he met at school and with whom he lived for some time, Prince Nikolai is single again.
