"The Mandalorian & Grogu" movie has been officially announced!

We assume you've already read somewhere, but for those who may have missed it until now, "The Mandalorian and Grogu" are making their way to the big screen. We were waiting for the fourth season of the Disney series, which, due to strikes in the entertainment industry, experienced a change in production. In recent months, there have been rumors that we will get a movie instead of a new season, and now we finally have official news about it, although some things are still unclear. But we know that Din Djarin and Grogu are coming back with new adventures, but they will be in the form of a feature film. Lucasfilm has officially announced that they are working on a film titled "The Mandalorian & Grogu" and that production will begin later this year.

The film will be directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni. It is officially the first Star Wars film to go into production after "The Rise of Skywalker" was released in 2019. For now, it remains unclear whether the fourth season of the series will happen. So we are left with an open question as to whether this is the end of "The Mandalorian" series or maybe the movie is simply a separate story set between the third and fourth seasons.

"I loved telling stories set in the rich world created by George Lucas. The prospect of bringing The Mandalorian and his disciple Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.” Favreau stated.

It should also be mentioned that this is not the only Star Wars film in the works. We are expecting a film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel) focusing on Rey, who returns as a Jedi master. During last year's Star Wars Celebration, two more Star Wars films were announced, one directed by Filoni, set in the New Republic period, and one directed by James Mangold, which will tell the story of the first Jedi who ever wielded the Force.

Another interesting thing related to the announcement of the movie "The Mandalorian & Grogu" is that through that announcement it was officially confirmed that the second season of the "Ahsoka" game series is being worked on.
