The Microlino, the electric successor to the iconic BMW

When the first prototype of the Microlino project was built in 2015, the Swiss began writing the story of the project. He then went through numerous stages of development. The current version is called 2.0, and it differs in many ways, including a new basic design. The tubular frame was replaced by a self-supporting steel and aluminum body.

The vehicle's look has been changed, with new wheels and LED light strips at both ends of the body. The core design lines, though, remain intact. Microlino plainly relates to the distinctive moniker Isetta, which, despite its Italian origins, rose to prominence under the BMW brand.

The Swiss toy vehicle is larger and substantially more modern than the historical version from the 1950s. It did, however, take over the shape of the body, the position of the wheels and headlights, as well as a two-color painting or a roof with a textile opening section from him. The most important shared aspect, however, is one door that takes up virtually the entire front half.

When the door is opened, a simple dashboard appears, while the steering wheel, complete with a digital instrument panel, remains in place. A bench for two people is provided on the inside. A luggage compartment with a capacity of 230 liters is located behind it.

Microlino dimensions are 2,519 mm long and 1,473 mm wide to honor its menu. It stands 1,501 millimeters tall. Legislatively, it is not a classic automobile; rather, it is classified as a heavy quadricycle. Depending on the variant, the curb weight ranges from 497 to 535 kg.

The weight is determined by the battery used. There are three capacities to select from, with the smallest being 6 kWh and the highest being 14 kWh. The intermediate model has a capacity of 10.5-kilowatt hours. The battery's standard range is 95, 175, or 230 kilometers. Depending on the version, charging from a regular outlet should take three to four hours.

The movement is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor with a maximum output of 12.5 kW (17 hp) and a torque of 89 Nm. The Microlino can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h in approximately 5 seconds. The maximum speed is 90 km/h, so even on district roads, the automobile will not be a brake if necessary.

This electric replacement for the classic BMW will be offered in four configurations. The entry-level model with a fixed roof, one-color paint, and sheet metal wheels costs 14,990 dollars. The limited-edition Pioneer Series, which costs 20,990 dollars and will be created in 999 pieces, is on the opposite end of the pricing spectrum.
