The second season of the series "Loki" is coming soon!
The screenwriters of the series are again Michael Waldron and Eric Martin, with the difference that Martin was appointed as the main screenwriter for the second season.
The first season of "Loki" brought back Tom Hiddleston as the god of mischief, and that was a more than successful return. The series introduced fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the organization Time Variance Authority, or TVA, which oversees the timeline of the known universe. "Loki" also officially introduced the concept of the Marvel Multiverse, which became very important for the further development of the MCU. So we're sure you're anxious to find out what awaits us in the second season of the series, and at least a little of that answer can be found in the first look at the upcoming season.
The first season of the series ended with the murder of He Who Remains ( Jonathan Majors ), which shook the sacred timeline and completely freed the multiverse. When Loki returned to TVA, the timeline had been altered and no one remembered him. Not to mention, that statues of He Who Remains (or more likely one of his variations) stood on display in the halls of TVA. Well, we assume that the second season will deal with the aftermath of the events of the first season, as well as those from the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness".
The screenwriters of the series are again Michael Waldron and Eric Martin, with the difference that Martin was appointed as the main screenwriter for the second season. Kate Herron, one of the showrunners and director of the first season, is not returning, as she announced last year. Most episodes of the new season were directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Moon Knight). Executive producers are Tom Hiddleston and Michael Waldron.
The second season of the Loki series will arrive on the Disney plus platform sometime in the summer of 2023 .
