British musician John Lennon was one of the founders of the most popular band in the history of music, the legendary The Beatles, and since they appeared he has captured attention with his every move. After the band disbanded in 1970, he continued his solo career, but because of the love of his life, the media followed him the most.

Lennon met Yoko Ono at her exhibition in London, and they fell in love at first sight and immediately became the center of each other's world. They were both married when they met and had children with their spouses, but that did not sway them in the plan for their relationship to succeed.

Yoko contacted John with a request to fund one of her exhibitions, and he immediately invited her to his home since his first wife Cynthia was not at home at the time. Lennon later recounted how they started drinking and talking at midnight, and it was dawn when they finished. “After that, we made love and it was really beautiful,” the legendary musician once said. Upon his return home, his then-wife found Yoko in a robe and filed for divorce the same year.

John and Yoko knew what would happen when they announced they were in a relationship, but they were unaware that love would be an obstacle in their careers. Yoko got pregnant shortly after they started the relationship, but she had a miscarriage. Despite everything, they were married on March 20, 1969, at the British Consulate in Gibraltar. The ceremony was private, but the news was announced to the world soon after the wedding.

Together they made numerous films, allowed journalists to interview them for up to 12 hours a day, and together they organized protests and fought for world peace. During this period, their creativity went out in all directions, while his relationship with the Beatles slowly faded. After the Beatles broke up, Yoko was targeted by their fans and they blamed her for the breakup of the popular band. Lennon dismissed everything, but details of a conversation in which Yoko told Lennon to continue building his career on his own began to leak to the public.

That Yoko is really a woman full of surprises is also proven by the fact that in 1973 she announced that she needed a break from everything and arranged for John to be with her assistant May Pang for a while, while she fled to New York. May and John were in a relationship for 18 months before Yoko returned to Lennon. "II need space and time for myself. I didn't mind John being with May. She's an intelligent, beautiful girl," Yoko Ono said after the whole situation.

Their love was stronger than ever, and in 1975 Yoko gave birth to their son Sean Lennon.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono were together for 11 years before his tragic death in 1980. Mark Chapman shot John Lennon five times in New York City while the musician and his wife were returning home from the studio where he was recording new songs. Fans soon flooded the streets and, along with the rest of the world, mourned the loss of the legendary John Lennon.
