Things you should never do while hungry!
We all know that our personality changes when we are hungry. Some of us can even be “a bit difficult” in those moments. It is important to be aware of this because it affects us and the people around us on so many levels. Here are a few things you should never do while hungry.
Never go grocery shopping if you are hungry
The reason is simple, you will go home with things you do not need. You will buy more and spend more. You will also forget what you came for because of your hunger. Even if you make a shopping list, you will still get unnecessary things, and you still might forget something important, because it is difficult to focus on an empty stomach. Of course, the supermarket will use your hunger against you, as you will have to pass through isles of snacks and sweets to get to the things you really want. So, before going to the supermarket, be sure you have a nice and nutritious meal. It will be beneficial for your health, weight and for your budget!
Don't start, or get sucked into arguments
This one is not easy, but, if you are hungry you will be moody and irritable. It is not good to start a conversation about who did what and who forgot to buy milk and why. Arguing while hungry can make a big dent in your relationship. This is very important because you can use this info to avoid unnecessary arguments with your partner. For example, if you are both hungry and tired the chance for an argument is increased. It is better to start making dinner together while having a snack together than to start “the talk” about who should take out the garbage, or some other trivial thing. When your partner sounds edgy, try making some sandwiches or some other “fast food”. After you eat, you will probably forget why you were angry in the first place. Do you know why? Because you were probably not angry at all, you were hungry and your “inner hunter” woke up to “save you from starving”. However, since we stopped hunting for food, we tend to “attack” whoever is around.
