This actress will most likely play Amy Winehouse
This actress will most likely play Amy Winehouse in a biopic about the famous singer.
While nothing has been absolutely confirmed, the impending Amy Winehouse biopic may have found its starring actress. According to Variety, actress Marisa Abela will most likely play the iconic singer in the film Back To Black.
The 25-year-old British actress is presently starring as the unstable Jasmine Kara-Hanani in the second season of Industry (BBC/HBO).
She also appears in the television and Sky TV series COBRA, and we will soon see her in the movie She Is Love, Rogue Agent, and the prestigious production Barbie, in which she is joined by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Marisa Abella received her diploma from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She, like Amy Winehouse, is of Jewish ancestry. As a famous singer, the young actress can sing and has a relatively deep voice. Back To Black's producers wanted a lesser-known actress to play the late music sensation, and Abela surely is, at least in the world.
"Back to Black" will take place during Amy's stay in London and will chronicle her climb to prominence. Manchester-born screenwriter Matt Greenhill wrote the screenplay for Taylor Johnson's 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy.
Unlike "Amy," the Oscar-winning documentary from 2015, "Back to Black" was authorized by Amy Winehouse's estate, according to the Guardian.
Taylor-Johnson said she was "fully aware of the responsibility" and would strive to "create a performance that we will all love and cherish forever. Just like everyone feels about Amy.''
It remains to be seen whether Amy Winehouse will play Marissa Abella in Back To Black, but for the time being, she is the leader.
The film will be released in 2024.
