Thomas Markle's opinion on the Royals
Thomas Markle believes that Meghan has insulted the royal family in recent interviews, but also the entire nation of Great Britain.
The father of the Duchess of Sussex, Thomas Markle, turned on his daughter and said she should be stripped of her royal titles because she insulted the British royal family with her last guest appearance on television. The 77-year-old Thomas, who normally lives near Harry and Meghan in Los Angeles, said he was embarrassed as he watched his daughter visit the famous host Ellen DeGeneres.
He assessed that her stupidity in the show of the famous presenter was humiliating for Queen Elizabeth, the royal family, and the entire nation of Great Britain, reports the Daily Mail. "She made a complete fool of herself and because of that, she should lose the titles. I love my daughter, but her performance was pointless," Thomas concluded.
It has been rumored for months that Meghan and Harry will give their first interview after moving to California to Ellen, but instead, they chose their neighbor and friend Oprah Winfrey. It was assumed that they decided to do so because Ellen DeGeneres had been the target of criticism in recent months for toxic behavior in her workplace, for which she was accused by former colleagues.
Meghan and Ellen have known each other for some time and are close, and everything was decided by the Duchess's visit to a shelter for dogs. Markle and DeGeneres met there and immediately became close, and it was Ellen who persuaded Meghan to take the dog.
Meghan's father often talks about his daughter in public, and the two of them haven't talked for years. A few months ago, he said Meghan was not his daughter as he knew her. “She was a person with a lot more love than she is now,” he said. Markle says she is looking forward to the moment when he will take Meghan's children, his grandchildren Lilibet and Archie in his arms. “I’d love to see them,” he admitted.
Earlier, he threatened to take his daughter to court so he could finally get a chance to meet his grandchildren. But he has changed his attitude as he claims his health is deteriorating and he fears he will never meet two-year-old Archie and Lilibet, who was born on June 4th.
"They should not be punished for Meghan and Harry's misbehavior. Archie and Lily are small children, not politicians, not pawns, and not part of the game," Thomas said, adding that they deserve the same rights as the rest of the royal family.
