Tom Holland could have performed a completely different song on Lip Sync Battle!
Four years have passed since Tom Holland’s legendary performance on Lip Sync Battle of Rihanna’s song “Umbrella”! However, we just found out it could have gone a lot different!
The most recent article Insider did called “An oral history of Tom Holland’s sensational ‘Lip Sync Battle’ performance” included some never before known secrets!
In the article, Casey Patterson, the executive director of the show, talked about how each song has to be green-lit by the artist, and how they prepared a completely different song as a backup in case Rihanna didn’t approve of the performance!
Jeanie Cheek said that they even prepared a whole different set of costumes for Tom and the dancers on the off chance that everything went wrong.
Now for the big reveal of what was the other song! No less than Britney's all-time hit “Oops I Did It Again”! For the performance, Tom would’ve worn a red latex suit just like Britney did in the music video. And what’s even more shocking is that there was even a chance that Britney shows up in an astronaut costume!
Danielle Flora, the choreographer said that she didn’t remember the backup song at all, although she is sure she choreographed it. However, she mentioned that the main idea has always been to do the “Umbrella”.
