Top 10 Most Beutiful Towns In France

1 Eguisheim, Alsace

Eguisheim, located near Colmar, is not only an important feature of the Alsace grape scenery but also a symbol of the region's architecture. The town virtually forms a perfect arc and includes classic Alsatian half-timbered facades, vibrant colors, and magnificent flowers, which have earned it national and worldwide recognition. This town has a high concentration of Alsatian tradition, making it our favorite in eastern France
2 Domme, Dordogne

This lovely town in the south of France is perched high above the Dordogne River. Honey-colored streets, friendly residents, and breathtaking vistas — need we say more?
At the end of your tour, a lift will transport you to a breathtaking view of the Dordogne valley. It's a one-of-a-kind sight, and like many tourists, you'll fall head over heels with Domme.
3 Veules-les-Roses, Normandy

Veules-Les-Roses in Normandy is located further west. The beachfront, with its sandy beaches and ocean in a thousand colors of blue, makes the strongest effect here. Beautiful hikes along the Verse river, France's smallest, are also available in the town. Its narrow Rue des Moulins and towpaths, in particular, have earned it the distinction of 'Plus Beau Village.'
4 Saint-Suliac, Brittany

Take a breath of fresh air at Saint-Suliac, Brittany, a few kilometers from Saint-Malo. This old fishing town is located on the Rance estuary, a coastal Breton river. There is a tiny, calm port, café terraces, and a variety of really narrow streets.
5 Honfleur, Normandy

Honfleur is so vibrant and alive that it's difficult to believe it was initially designed for business. This beach village has become well-known for drawing impressionist painters throughout the years.
6 Châteauneuf, Burgundy

This lovely medieval town is known for its alleyways, washhouses, gardens, and historic buildings. The Morvan mountains and the Auxois plain, which expands along the Burgundy canal below, may be seen in the distance; the settlement is placed at an elevation of over 500 meters.
7 Bonneval-sur-Arc, Alps

This, the highest settlement in the Maurienne valley of the Alps, is reached through a short mountain hike. A true village resort, there are lovely stone chalets, fantastic ski slopes, and a variety of activities to fully experience the delights of the mountain all year.
8 Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Basque Country

This traditional - and picturesque - Basque community is located farther south, between the Basque coast and the Spanish border. Saint-Jean is a well-known station on the Santiago de Compostela road, as well as a bastion of the kingdom of Navarre, and its architecture and legacy reflect the tale of its history throughout the years. A lovely historical location that should not be missed.
9 Auvillar, Occitanie

Still in southern France, between Toulouse and Bordeaux, it's time to halt at Auvillar, another important stop on the way to Santiago de Compostela. The main town square is entered by the door of an amazing 17th-century clock tower, which leads to a circular grain market typical of Occitanie.
10 Les Baux-de-Provence, Provence

This characteristically Provençal town, perched in the Massif des Alpilles, has only 22 permanent residents, but it attracts many more tourists thanks to its 22 designated historic sites, making it a veritable open-air museum.
